San Diego Ayurveda Healing shares traditional Ayurvedic education and offers complementary wellness services. The explanations below help you understand their scope and make informed choices. They are not a substitute for an individual discussion, required pre-service disclosure, or informed consent.

01. General

General scope

Information on this site and in our educational materials describes Ayurvedic concepts, everyday habits, and wellness practices. It is intended for general education. It is not medical advice for your circumstances and does not establish that a particular service, product, or practice is safe or suitable for you.

Ayurveda is complementary to care from appropriately licensed health professionals. We do not use this website to diagnose, prescribe treatment for, prevent, or cure a disease. A traditional description of a practice or ingredient is not proof of a medical benefit. Do not delay an examination, screening, diagnosis, or treatment because of something you read here.

02. Status & qualifications

Practitioner status and California disclosure

Vaidya Kamal Bambhania is not a licensed physician in California and is not licensed by the State of California as a healing arts practitioner. The Ayurvedic services described here are alternative or complementary to state-licensed healing arts services; these Ayurvedic services themselves are not licensed by the state. A title or degree in Ayurveda does not represent a California medical license.

As described on our About page, Vaidya Kamal earned a Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery and an MD in Ayurveda in India and has worked in Ayurvedic practice, teaching, and formulation. These qualifications describe his education and experience in Ayurveda. They should not be understood as authority to practice medicine or another licensed profession in California.

Before a service covered by California Business and Professions Code section 2053.5 is provided, the practitioner must give a separate plain-language written disclosure of licensure status, the nature and theory of the service, and relevant qualifications; obtain your written acknowledgment; give you a copy; and retain the acknowledgment as required by law. This website does not replace that process.

03. Individual services

Consultations and guidance

An Ayurvedic consultation may discuss routines, food, rest, traditional concepts such as dosha and agni, and observations such as pulse assessment. These are used within the Ayurvedic framework for a wellness conversation. They are not laboratory tests or a medical diagnosis of a physical or mental condition. Guidance should be considered in light of your history, medications, allergies, and care from licensed clinicians.

Tell the practitioner about relevant health conditions and medicines before considering a service or product. Discuss new or worsening symptoms, persistent pain, mental health concerns, pregnancy, or a possible interaction with a licensed health professional. Do not start, stop, or change a prescribed medicine or recommended medical treatment on the basis of an Ayurvedic consultation or this website. We do not advise discontinuing prescriptions.

04. Body therapies

Traditional therapies and Panchakarma

Descriptions of Shirodhara, Panchakarma, and related practices may include classical terminology and historical context. A description is not an offer to perform every classical procedure. The actual service, if any, depends on practitioner scope, setting, individual suitability, applicable law, and a separate discussion of what will be done.

Body therapies and herbal preparations can have risks or contraindications, including skin reactions, discomfort, dehydration, and interactions with medical conditions or care. Ask about the proposed process, ingredients, expected experience, alternatives, and reasons to avoid it before agreeing. California law limits what an unlicensed practitioner may do; the practice does not offer surgery, skin-puncturing or harmfully invasive procedures, prescription drugs, or other activities requiring a professional license through these Ayurvedic services.

05. Products

Product and dietary supplement information

Product descriptions and traditional ingredient discussions are for information and are not a promise of a particular outcome. Dietary supplements are not approved by the FDA for safety or effectiveness before they are marketed. A dietary supplement is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent a disease. Read the actual label, ingredient list, directions, cautions, and any applicable product-specific FDA statement before use; an image or preview on this site may not show final packaging.

Botanical ingredients and supplements can cause side effects, allergies, or interactions with medicines and other supplements. Ask a physician or pharmacist before use if you are pregnant or nursing, have a condition, take medication, or are considering a product for a child. Stop use and seek appropriate care if you experience a concerning reaction. Product claims, including ingredient, quality, and attribute claims, must be supported independently; a disclaimer does not validate them.

06. Website

Website and article content

Articles, images, service summaries, and answers to general inquiries provide an introduction to Ayurveda and the practice. They cannot account for your personal history or replace a consultation with an appropriately licensed clinician. Reading or contacting us through the site does not by itself create a clinician-patient relationship, a medical diagnosis, or an agreement to provide a service.

We aim to keep material clear and current, but information may be incomplete or change over time. Images may be illustrative and may not depict the practice, an actual procedure, or final product packaging. Verify dates, availability, ingredients, terms, and any instructions directly with the practice before relying on them.

07. Perspective

Personal perspectives and traditional knowledge

Statements attributed to practitioners or contributors may reflect professional experience, traditional Ayurvedic teachings, and personal interpretation. Different traditions and individuals may describe the same concepts in different ways. These perspectives are shared to explain an approach, not to establish the medical efficacy of a method or predict what will happen for you.

Training and experience in Ayurveda do not eliminate the need for evidence, appropriate referral, or a clinician's assessment when health concerns call for one. Please ask questions about the basis and limits of any recommendation before deciding whether it fits your goals.

08. Client experiences

Testimonials and reviews

Reviews describe the experiences and opinions of individual clients. They do not demonstrate that everyone will have the same experience, establish that a service or product can treat a disease, or replace reliable evidence for a health claim. Your experience may be different. Reviews may be edited only for presentation or length where indicated, and any material connection or compensation should be disclosed with the review.

Do not choose a service or product solely because of a testimonial. Ask about the service, evidence for any specific claim, limitations, and alternatives. A general “results vary” statement cannot make an otherwise misleading health claim accurate.

09. Safety

Urgent and ongoing medical care

This site, its contact channels, and Ayurvedic consultations are not emergency services. For a possible medical emergency in the United States, call 911 or seek immediate emergency care. For urgent mental health or suicide-related support in the United States, call or text 988; for immediate danger, call 911.

Continue recommended follow-up with your licensed health professionals. If symptoms are severe, persistent, new, or worsening, obtain appropriate medical evaluation rather than relying on content here or waiting for an appointment with the practice.

10. Other providers

External links, scheduling, and communications

Links to scheduling, articles, product information, or other websites are provided for convenience. Outside providers control their own content, availability, privacy practices, and terms. A link is not an endorsement of every claim on the destination site.

Ordinary email and third-party scheduling tools may have their own privacy and security limits. Avoid sending sensitive health details through an unsecured channel. The intake form shown on this site is a preview and does not submit or store your information. Confirm with the practice which secure channel to use for records or personal health information.

11. Legal limits

Responsibility, limitations, and your rights

Decisions about your health and purchases should be made with information suited to your circumstances. We do not promise an outcome or warrant that every article, link, service description, or product preview is error-free or suitable for a particular purpose. Contact us when you find an error or need clarification before acting on a statement.

Nothing here excludes responsibility for negligence, fraud, misrepresentation, unlawful conduct, or any right or remedy that cannot legally be limited. California law expressly preserves a client's ability to seek relief for negligence and other civil remedies concerning services under its complementary-practitioner provisions. Any service-specific terms or consent materials should be reviewed separately before a service is provided.

12. Next steps

Before a service

Please read the separate written disclosure and any service-specific informed consent, ask about risks and alternatives, and make sure the practitioner has answered your questions. You should receive a copy of the signed acknowledgment when required. This public page does not serve as your signature, acknowledgment, or individualized consent.
