Welcome to my practice in San Marcos. Whether you are exploring Ayurveda for the first time, looking more closely at your daily habits, or hoping to deepen your understanding of this tradition, I would be glad to meet you and hear your story.
I earned my Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S.) at Gujarat Ayurveda University in India. I continued my training there at the Institute of Post-Graduate Training and Research, where I earned an MD in Ayurveda. That education has guided my work across practice, teaching, and formulation.
Traditional knowledge, careful attention, and an individual conversation.
My interest in Ayurveda has always extended from the person in front of me to the ingredients and traditions behind the practice. Since 1989, I have worked with herbal and nutraceutical companies in India and the United States, offering formulation guidance informed by Ayurvedic concepts.
Through this work I have examined thousands of Ayurvedic herb and mineral combinations. It has deepened my respect for close observation and for understanding how traditional preparations are described and used. I approach each conversation with curiosity, while recognizing that a remedy’s long history of use does not, by itself, prove its effectiveness or guarantee it is safe for everyone.
When we meet, I want to understand your routines, food, rest, concerns, and goals. Ayurveda gives us a way to discuss those patterns together and consider practical changes that suit your circumstances. I value time to listen and explain my thinking so you can make informed choices about your wellbeing.
What has shaped my practice.
I served as principal Vaidya at Sanjivani Ayurveda Hospital and as Director of Alternative and Complementary Medicine at Shree Vallabh Vishwa Dharma Samstha in India. Alongside my practice, I share foundational Ayurvedic ideas with medical anthropology students through guest lectures at California State University San Marcos.
I welcome people who want to learn as well as those seeking individual guidance. The chance to explain Ayurveda in a way that is clear and useful remains an important part of my work.
